Career History
James Randall (Randy) McNeal began his career in real estate sales with Stockton, Whatley, Davin & Company in Jacksonville, FL He quickly distinguished himself as one of the top performers. He was then recruited to be Executive Vice President of Natco Realty Corp in Marco Island, FL, where he oversaw sales and operations and helped establish a real estate securities and syndication subsidiary. Following the sale of that firm, he co-founded and managed First Southern Trust Realty Corp., serving as General Manager and Broker.
After selling his interest in that firm he returned to Jacksonville and joined Southmark Commercial Management, a NYSE listed commercial property management company, as Director of Operations for the Southeast Region. In that capacity he directed property management for more than two million square feet of commercial real estate. Afterward, he founded and led The J. R. McNeal Company, Inc., growing it into a 500,000 square feet portfolio of office and retail properties.
Later he merged his firm and property management portfolio with Colliers International. Initially as Director of Asset Management, he oversaw the million-plus square foot portfolio before transitioning into Director of Investment Sales. When the great recession of 2008 hit and Randy was only selling shopping centers, investment activity and financing came to a screeching halt. He then accepted an executive role with Hakimian Holdings, Inc., as Vice President, managing operations and leasing for a growing portfolio of shopping centers and office buildings.
Craving a return to entrepreneurship, Randy returned to entrepreneurship again in 2016 as President of J. R. McNeal Company, Inc. The firm provides commercial real estate services, including sales, leasing, property management and consulting in northeast Florida.
